Baixa
Baixa de Lisboa is also known as Baixa Pombalina, because it was rebuilt under the aegis of the Marquês de Pombal, after the 1755 earthquake. Its shops, restaurants, museums, theaters make Baixa the busiest area of the city. Take a walk from Rossio to Terreiro do Paço and be dazzled by the unforgettable shine of the Tagus waters.

Santa Justa Elevator
The Santa Justa Elevator was opened at the beginning of the 20th century and is the only vertical elevator in Lisbon that provides a public service. It is a cast iron structure, designed by the architect Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard. From its roof you enjoy an unforgettable panoramic view. In 2002 it was classified as a National Monument.
